Pony Playgroup

Pony Playgroup is a fun, developmental experience for ages 0-5. Pony Playgroup offers young children a wonderful opportunity to engage with ponies in a safe, nurturing environment. It’s a special time for families to connect, socialize, and introduce little ones to the world of horses.

Meeting Rosie

Each child will be invited to spend some time with a Shetland pony named Rosie. She's a calm, kind pony who's very experienced with small children. We'll support you and your child to enjoy the many new things to see, smell, touch and listen to when spending time with Rosie.

Children visit Rosie one at a time. Visits take place in the first hour.

Interactive Fun

Younger children will meet Rosie in their caregivers arms and we'll support you to make that introduction engaging and safe. We’re here to support you every step of the way! If children are old enough and confident enough, they can try brushing Rosie.

When Rosie has met all the children she'll have a break in her yard to eat some hay. Children are welcome to watch Rosie eat.

After Rosie's break she'll be offering short rides to children old enough to wear a helmet. A coach and a groom will support each child during riding.

Safety

Nothing is more important to us than you and your child's safety. This is why following our safety protocols is a condition of participation. The coach will guide you as you approach Rosie.

We supply helmets for parents, carers and older children to wear when interacting with Rosie. If children are too small for a helmet they'll interact with Rosie from their parent or carers arms.

Fees and Size of Group

  • Pony Playgroup fees are $30 per child.
