RIDING LEVELS SUITABLE FOR CAMPS

Our camps are perfect for beginners through to children who can walk, trot, or canter with control. If siblings or friends want to attend camp together but have different skill levels, we can easily accommodate them.

COACH / RIDER RATIO

Each camp is limited to 8 children with 2 experienced coaches, ensuring every camper gets the personalized attention they deserve. Campers will be split into two groups based on age or experience for most activities, but there will be shared fun activities where everyone comes together. Siblings and friends can stay together in the same group if they prefer.

WET WEATHER PLAN

Rain won’t stop the fun! With plenty of shelter, including a covered round yard, stables, a barn, and a hay shed, the camp will continue even in wet weather.

FLEXIBLE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

We encourage all children to participate in every activity, but no one is pressured to do anything they’re uncomfortable with. We provide enough staff and quiet spaces for children to take a break or engage in alternative activities if needed. As an inclusive riding school, we use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, ensuring that everyone can progress at their own pace.

WE PROVIDE:

  • Helmets (if needed)

  • Water and fruit for breaks

  • Sunscreen

YOU NEED TO BRING:

  • Your own helmet (if you have one)

  • A sunhat for non-riding activities

  • Sturdy, enclosed boots with a small heel (no sneakers, gumboots, or sandals)

  • Jodhpurs, riding tights, or stretchy pants (no slippery activewear)

  • For wet weather: gumboots, raincoat, and a change of clothes

  • Gloves (optional but helpful for handling hay)

OUTCOMES:

Our camps help children grow riding, groundwork, and horse care skills and knowledge. They also develop important interpersonal skills like listening, empathy, teamwork, resilience, and following and giving instructions. By the end of the camp, children leave with great memories, new friends, increased confidence and new skills both on and off the horse.
